Reauthorize appropriate provisions included in the CARES Act (P.L. 116-136) related to the tax treatment of the student loan repayment program.

While staff benefits are provided by all Members of Congress, the stipulations of these requirements can differ by office. The Committee recommends that Congress extend the provision in the CARES Act that allowed student loan borrowers to skip payments for six months and avoid taxes on the benefits they receive.[132]
